// week 06 · hero's journey moment: the road back · return with the elixir

the tribe sets out.

The final week. Six weeks ago, the studio was a room of strangers. Now it's a tribe with shared language, shared rhythm, shared standards. Week 6 is ceremony — the signed Studio Contract, the bound Studio Manual v1, the Standard of Excellence posters in their final form, the Exhibition where families see what's been built. And then the question: now we set out into the rest of the year. What's our first content quest?

The week at a glance

// guiding question

// what gets built this week

Artifacts

  • Studio Contract — finalized, ceremonially signed by every learner
  • Studio Manual v1 — compiled, bound, posted
  • Standard of Excellence posters — final form, around the studio
  • Exhibition deliverables (varies by format)
  • Tribe identity statement — one sentence the studio writes together
  • Year-long Town Hall structure proposed and voted

What the guide does

  • Hold space for ceremony — the signed Contract is a real moment, treat it as one
  • Pull together the Studio Manual v1 from everything that's accumulated
  • Coach exhibition prep — let learners lead the format
  • Run journey meeting #2 with each learner — celebrating Week 1 to Week 6 growth
  • Plant the seeds for the next quest — "what's calling us next?"

Who are we now?

Day 1 launch invites learners to articulate what changed from Week 1 to now. The tribe identity statement gets drafted from this.

The signed Contract ceremony

We treat the signing like a real moment — not a worksheet. Each learner stands, reads a line, signs. The Contract goes on the wall.

The next call

What's the next quest? The studio gets a preview. The Hero's Journey continues — this was just the first cycle.

Common pitfalls Week 6

// from the last guide

What to watch for

Phoning in the ceremony. The signing of the Contract has to land as meaningful. If you rush it, the studio reads it as paperwork. Slow down. Make it feel sacred.

Exhibition as performance. Exhibition shows the tribe, not a show. Resist the urge to script it into a polished presentation. The point is authenticity.

Skipping the journey meetings. Each learner deserves a one-on-one celebrating their Week 1 to Week 6 arc. Make time. Don't substitute group recognition.
