Week 6 is the runway. From today until Friday afternoon, every block is exhibition prep. No new content gets introduced. We finalize the Studio Contract, compile the Studio Manual v1, and start building the Lip Dub toward its Wednesday lock. By Friday, the families walk in and see what's been built.
By 3:30 today, the Studio Contract is at its final-draft form, ready to sign Friday. The Studio Manual v1 is compiled. Every learner knows what they're personally responsible for at Exhibition.
Standard rhythm. Thinking Puzzle on whiteboard near cubbies: "Six weeks ago, you didn't know each other. Now you're a tribe. What's the smallest moment from the past 5 weeks that made it real for you?" (See Thinking Puzzles.)
The opener (3 min):
"This is Week 6. The last week of Build the Tribe. From today until Friday afternoon, we're not learning anything new — we're showing the world what we've built. Five days. One Exhibition. One Lip Dub. One signed Contract."
The week's map (10 min):
The close (5 min):
"This week is a different kind of hard. The work isn't new — but the stakes are higher. Real audience Friday. Real signing of a real Contract. Real culmination. Take this seriously. And — have fun. We earned this."
Prompt: "What's the character trait you want to be remembered for at Exhibition? Write it. That's your week's goal."
Standard rhythm. Math doesn't stop just because Exhibition is coming — the rhythm holds.
Standard rhythm.
Standard rhythm.
Two parallel tracks today:
The running Contract draft is on the wall. The whole studio reads it aloud together, line by line.
By end of block: the Contract is at final-draft form. Tomorrow's pass is just for polish.
Standard.
(30 min) Studio Manual compilation: the Studio Manual Editor + 2-3 helpers compile all the Manual sections drafted across Weeks 1–5 into one document. Everyone else divides into Lip Dub practice teams.
(30 min) Lip Dub practice: first full run-through of the week. Map the route. Walk through it once at half-speed without the music. Then twice at full speed with the music.
See the Lip Dub page for the practice protocol.
Lip Dub practice is where small conflicts tend to surface — someone wants to switch parts, someone thinks their part isn't fair. Treat it as a Work It Out moment, not a crisis. Pause practice if needed. Use the language: "What do we need right now? What's the path through?"
Standard rhythm. Today's reflection prompt: "What do you want to make sure happens this week before Friday?"
The Launch Circle leaders need extra coaching this week. Pull each one privately for 5 minutes today. Walk through their plan. Ask what they're nervous about. Coach the specific moments.
Some learners will feel real anxiety this week. Name it normally. "Yeah, it's a lot. Everyone feels it. Let's break it down — what's one thing you can do right now to feel more ready?"
If any learner hasn't fully bought in to the Lip Dub yet, this week's the time. Find them their part — even a non-singing role (camera operator, prop manager). Everyone needs to be in.
This week's energy is yours to set. Stay calm. Stay warm. The studio mirrors you. If you panic about Friday, they panic. If you treat it like a gift, they treat it like a gift.
Send the Exhibition invite email today if not already out. Confirm Friday timing, location, what families should bring. Make sure every D2 family knows: this is real. Don't miss it.
