// the living constitution · grows all year

The studio manual.

If the Studio Contract is the floor and the Rules of Engagement are the recited shortlist, the Studio Manual is the living constitution — everything else we've agreed on about how things work here. Procedures, routines, traditions, exceptions, lessons learned. It starts as a few pages in Week 1 and grows all year via Town Hall amendments.

The Share Chair Standard, sign-up flow, peer feedback norms.

How we handle the schedule

Hard cutoffs, when transitions get adjusted, who calls them, what counts as an emergency exception.

How leadership roles work

Full role descriptions (or link to Roles page), rotation rhythm, sign-up.

How we use the kitchen

Guide-only first, then unlocked as trust builds. Cleanup expectations.

How we welcome new learners

How we celebrate

How amendments happen

// the amendment cycle

From proposal to Manual

1. A learner (or the guide) proposes a change via the Compass Keeper or Town Hall topic box.
2. Town Hall discusses (with the existing language read aloud first).
3. If consensus emerges, it's drafted by the Studio Manual Editor.
4. Read back at the following Town Hall for final confirmation.
5. Editor updates the Manual. Old version archived (date-stamped).

Current contents (placeholder)

Lorem ipsum — populate the actual sections of the Manual here as they get drafted. Recommend bullet-pointed entries with date stamps. Keep it scannable. If a section grows past one page, it probably needs to be split into sub-pages of its own.
