// the weekly heartbeat · friday → monday

ICEE: the weekly heartbeat.

Four traits, two ratings, one rhythm. Every Friday during the 360 block, every learner rates themselves and the studio on Intentionality, Civility, Excellence, and Energy. The Tally Keeper posts the results. The numbers become the input to Monday's launch — and slowly, the studio learns to see itself.

01

The four traits

// I

Intentionality

Are we making deliberate choices — or running on autopilot? Are we showing up with purpose?

// C

Civility

Are we treating each other with grace? Are we yielding the floor, building each other up, repairing when we hurt someone?

// E

Excellence

Are we living the Standard of Excellence? Or are we settling for "good enough"?

// E

Energy

Is the room alive? Or are we dragging? (Note: low energy isn't a moral failing — it's a signal.)

02

The survey format

Each learner rates themselves and the studio, 1–10, on each of the four traits. 1 = "we totally missed it this week." 10 = "this is who we are."

The form (printable or digital)

TraitMy rating (1–10)Studio rating (1–10)One word
Intentionality_________
Civility_________
Excellence_________
Energy_________

The "one word" column captures the texture of that week's experience of the trait — useful for the Tally Keeper when sharing the results.

Lorem ipsum — finalize whether this is paper or digital. Paper works well for younger learners and keeps focus off screens. Digital (Google Form) saves the Tally Keeper time.

How the data gets used

// the data flow

From Friday survey to Monday launch

Friday 11:20–11:40: survey completed during 360 block.
Friday afternoon: Tally Keeper averages the studio ratings.
Friday/weekend: Tally Keeper posts results on the board.
Monday Launch: results read aloud. One trait gets the focus — the one with the biggest gap between self-ratings and studio ratings, OR the lowest absolute score. That becomes the week's "ICEE focus."

04

Watching for trends

Single-week scores matter less than trends. Patterns to watch:
