// every learner has one · started week 1 · refined week 5

The personal working guide.

The PWG is each learner's "how I work best" document. It captures the conditions under which this specific human does their best thinking, focus, and collaboration. The guide models theirs first. Learners build v1 in Weeks 1–2. v2 happens in Week 5 after lived experience. It's not an assessment — it's a tool the learner uses when work goes sideways.

Day 1: the guide shares theirs

On Day 1 of BTT, before any learner starts theirs, the guide opens a filled-in PWG on the board. Talks through it. Why this section is filled in this way. What they learned about themselves that took them years. "I tried working in silence for years before I realized I focus better with lo-fi in headphones." The PWG isn't a kid exercise — it's a real working document for real people. The guide's version is proof of that.
